WHAT IS TROOP CHURCH?

“Evolution of Troop Church” Troop Church is absolutely different from House Church and both are contradictory in nature.

House Churches are half way homes towards Troop Church whereas Troop Church is the real Church of Jesus Christ. He moves and lives among His children in the Troop Church because there is no other authority, leader or king there except Jesus Christ. Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal redeemer and king, come together in holiness, experience the presence of Jesus inside and among them. There is no pastor or Church head to lead them. The head of the house coordinates the meeting. Each member walks with and grows in Jesus Christ every day. All the members have equal chances to grow according to their gifts. There is no legalities or legal heads. All the members are bound by love and only by love. Everybody is free to leave or join at any time.

It is in the Troop Church that the Lord revealed His messages and warnings about India's future, Model Church Emergency declared for the Indian Church from 2010-2013, the 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd warning given to the institutional Churches, rejection of the Institutional Churches etc. It is guided by the Lord till today from the time it was instituted in this world, August 6, 2014.

Difference between House Churches and Troop Churches

Still one more stage to go! Do not be deceived

The real Church of early Christianity is the "Troop Church" – A unit of the Army of the Lord in this world, which fights with satan and all his activities.

Still the Church has to overcome one more bottleneck. There is the risk of believers misunderstanding the Troop Church as House Church.

All the House Churches are not Troop Churches. House Church, in fact, is the miniature or mini form of institutional church. House Churches are planted by the pastor here and there as a feeder for the main Church Institution. Extraction of money, slavery of believers, Pastors exercising authority over the subjects, and all the other negative effects of the Institutional Church remain the same in the house Church. In fact, it is a mini wing of the Institutional Church itself.

CLIMATE CHANGE IS FUELING DEADLY HEAT WAVES IN INDIA

Deadly heat waves fueled by climate change are threatening India’s development and risk reversing its progress on poverty alleviation, health, and economic growth, a new study has found.

Heat waves have already critically impacted the country, leading to power outages, increased dust and air pollution, and accelerated glacial melt in the north of India, researchers from the University of Cambridge said in the study published in the journal PLOS Climate on Wednesday.

Since 1992, more than 24,000 people have died because of heat waves in India, the study said.

And the impacts are expected to get worse as heat waves become more frequent, intense and lethal due to the climate crisis.

“India is currently facing a collision of multiple cumulative climate hazards,” said the researchers.

“Long-term projections indicate that Indian heat waves could cross the survivability limit for a healthy human resting in the shade by 2050.”

The study shows that millions more people in India are vulnerable to climate change than first thought. More than 90% of the country could be severely impacted by heat waves, falling into an extreme heat “danger” zone, according to the heat index, the study found.

The heat index is how hot it feels and considers both air temperature and humidity to assess the heat’s impact on the population.

Last year, India experienced a searing heat wave, during which parts of the country reached more than 49°C (120°F).

In 2022, India experienced its hottest April in 122 years and its hottest March on record, the study said. And it experienced extreme weather on 242 out of 273 days between January and October 2022, the researchers found.

Such repeated heat stress will upend millions of lives and livelihoods.

“Estimates show a 15% decrease in outdoor working capacity … during daylight hours due to extreme heat by 2050,” the study found. “The increased heat is expected to cost India 2.8% and 8.7% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and depressed living standards by 2050 and 2100, respectively.”

By mid-century, 70 Indian cities are expected to have more than 1 million inhabitants, according to the study.

Extreme heat will pose a threat to the energy security and health of those people, and reverse progress in inequality and poverty reduction, the researchers found.

“My family in Kolkata is suffering from current heat waves leading to frequent load shedding,” said the author of the study, Dr. Ramit Debnath, in reference to enforced power outages that reduce strain on the grid. “The climate-energy nexus is becoming more relevant,” he added.

Typically, it’s the poorest and most vulnerable who will suffer the most.

Heat waves will “have unprecedented consequences on the low-income population,” the study said. As an example, the authors point to the rapidly urbanizing capital New Delhi, which “has a high level of construction activities, mostly involving a low-income labor force, who are also at severe risk from heat wave impacts.”

While India has a “climate vulnerability index” through which it assesses its vulnerability to the climate crisis, the authors believe these underestimates how heat waves impact the country’s development.

India has committed to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, a list of 17 objectives that include cutting poverty, hunger, inequality, and disease, as well as promoting health, education, and sanitation.

By not understanding the true threat of heat waves on its population, India risks missing out on those goals.

The study’s co-author Professor Ronita Bardhan said the recommendations could be used to build heat resilience for low-income housing as “these communities are most vulnerable to heat impacts.”

“Heat-health packages for low-income and slum dwellers are specifically critical as we show heat waves have devastating impacts on urban sustainability,” she said.

Another practical application is urban greening strategies around highly dense areas, which “can provide relief from urban heat island effects,” Bardhan said.

The authors stress “urgency” in recommending India update its extreme weather assessment to include the heat index and its impact on India’s sustainable development.

“India has demonstrated tremendous leadership in scaling up heat action plans in the last five years by declaring heat waves a natural disaster and mobilizing appropriate relief resources,” the authors said.

But “as the heat waves in India and the Indian subcontinent become recurrent and long-lasting, it is high time that climate experts and policymakers reevaluate the metrics for assessing the country’s climate vulnerability.”

What is the sin of the Church today under the death penalty?

1Sa 12:19 And all the people said to Samuel, pray for your servants to Jehovah your God so that we will not die. For we have added evil to all our sins, to ask a king for us.

Asking for a King and being ruled by a King other than Jesus Christ is the major sin we see inside the Church today.

Knowingly or unknowingly most of the Christians are ruled by these “worldly kings and powers” which have intruded into the Church today. They have established their own royal kingdom, formal or informal, their own security with worldly wealth and properties. Believers blindly follow them, surrender themselves to be under their command and custody just like they did during the reign of kings. This is sin.

1Sa 12:20 And Samuel said to the people, …………. You have done all this wickedness

What is the role of the people of God in this "Church"

The people of God are kept like slaves under these kings. They are made to serve these worldly kings. They are known by various names as, Pastor, Bishop, Pope, Patriarch etc. The sheep do not know any other King other than the above. These heads call themselves "vicars & representatives” of Jesus Christ!

The poor sheep are not able to hear or distinguish their real shepherd's voice because of the loud preaching and teachings given in the institutional churches.

The power of the real Church!

In the present situation when all the religions, priests, bishops, pope, pastors have closed down their worship places and Sunday Service centers, the sheep is left with no choice other than calling upon the name of Jesus, sitting at homes. Today, on 22.3.2020 lakhs of Troop Churches have emerged on the earth! The seeds of Troop Churches were being sown 23 years ago! They have sprouted up, started bearing fruits! Troop Churches have overgrown the institutional churches and swallowed them up! That is the power of the real Church!

Just like the king Constantine made a declaration to change his kingdom into a Christian Empire, today the public declaration to conduct "Troop Churches" was made by our Prime Minister and all the churches are obliged to conduct worship in their houses with 10 members without any complaint and murmuring!

2020 have seen this revival. Our task is accomplished. Glory to God.

All the pastors, bishops, priests and institutional heads have suddenly changed their voice and started promoting "House Churches".

PEOPLE SEEN PANIC-BUYING RICE AS STORES RUN OUT IN US AFTER INDIA ANNOUNCES EXPORT BAN

The announcement of the ban on rice exports by the Indian government has reportedly caused a frenzy among Non-Resident Indians

Several videos and images of people in the US panic-buying rice emerged after India announced an export ban on the Asian staple.

In videos widely shared on social media, people could be seen with their grocery carts just full of rice bags. People were also seen climbing up the grocery store shelves to reach for rice bags.

One Twitter user shared a video in which people were seen scrambling and elbowing each other for rice bags and wrote: “I came to know from workers in Indian groceries, Costco has stocks but they [are] afraid of Indians climbing racks to snatching #rice bags, may fell over other customers and get hurt. This is very shameful. Below is from Indian groceries.”

“I visited almost 10 plus stores. I started looking for a bag of Sona Massori [a variety of rice] at 9 am and it wasn’t until 4.00 pm that I could finally lay my hands on a bag of rice at triple its usual price,” one Indian-American named Aruna from Washington DC was quoted as saying by ANI.

The announcement of the ban on rice exports by the Indian government has caused a frenzy among Non-Resident Indians [NRIs] who are now rushing to secure their supply of this essential ingredient in Indian cuisine.

Videos circulating on social media depict people scrambling to grab the last available rice bags at large stores as they seek to stock up on the staple food.

Last week, Indian prime minister Narendra Modi banned the export of non-basmati white rice to stabilize domestic prices ahead of key national elections next year following difficult harvests.

God spoke through Hosea His mind

Hos 13:11 I gave you a king in My anger, and took him away in My wrath.

After keeping silence for centuries in the history, the Lord opened a new chapter in human history and started His work again. He sent His own Son Jesus Christ to the earth. He brought the message of the love of God, the Father towards His children, the human beings on the earth.

But by the time the enemy, satan had already converted the chosen Israel into a "religion" like any other religion on earth, having their own rituals, feasts, priests, festivals, worldly influence and authority. When Jesus appeared on this earth, God sent Him to His own people. But this set up was not ready to accept Jesus or His kingship. He knew that He will have to pay His life as a price to redeem the children of God from the clutches of religion and Jesus voluntarily committed Himself to be the "perfect sacrifice", a pleasing sacrifice offered on the altar of God.

After the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, He set up a new invisible Kingdom on earth with Jesus as the King the chosen generation and a

A new set of priests, those who accepted Jesus as their personal Saviour,

A Holy Nation and a people for God's possession

So that we might speak of the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Pet 2:9

What a privilege! What a blessed people we are!

But only for 300 years this blessing lasted on the earth. The real Church which was a gathering in houses became a royal religion during the time of King Constantine, the Roman Emperor. after accepting Jesus halfheartedly, mixed Christianity with the pomp of earthly kingship and pagan practices. Constantine made Christianity the top-ranking religion in the world and it remained so till Reformation, i.e.1500 A.D.

Through His servant Martin Luther, the Lord exposed the futility of the “Religion Christianity” to the world and brought Bible to the limelight.

Now we are living in the 21^st Century. The last 6 centuries have witnessed great revivals, like Reformation, Roman Catholic Church splitting into many divisions, Asuza Revival, starting of Pentecostal Churches etc.

The past 500 years (1500-2000 A.D.) of warfare of the real Church of Jesus Christ with its rival, the pompous worldly religion called "Christianity" took different shapes. Down through the years, in all the seasons, the Lord raised many prophets and martyrs like John the Baptist who paid the price for it.

But the Heavenly Father has proved His Word to be true.

Mat 16:18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Throughout the ages, the remnant of Yahweh (the Church of Jesus Christ) has been suppressed, crushed, tested hard by the powers of the "world". The "world" has been pressurizing the Church of Jesus Christ to get an entry into it. The 20^th century saw many divisions inside the Church. In between a few “worldly kings” and Kingdoms found entry into it. But the Holy Spirit separated His Church away from it and kept it pure. Even now, in the 21^st century, many are competing to sit on the thrones of the kingdoms which the “Institutional Church” has made for them.

We made an appeal in the heavenly court for the improvement of the schools and the education system in Tamilnadu. The Tamilnadu Govt. has taken a strict action against the schools which are illegally opened without proper permission. A lot of awareness camps were conducted by the Govt. in various schools about children education and safety. The MLAs of the districts have been directly visiting the schools to note the further improvements and to collect the issues directly from the children. Almighty God has marvellously answered our prayers. Praise be to the Lord.

7 DISASTERS IN THE AMERICAS IN 2023 THAT YOU MAY NOT HAVE HEARD ABOUT

The Americas region alone has faced many small and medium-sized disasters so far this year. Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies across the region have been there – right by the side of communities.

1. Chile - forest fires:

In February 2023, strong winds and high temperatures caused dozens of forest fires across central and southern Chile, leading to casualties and widespread damage. They followed earlier, destructive forest fires in December 2022 that spread rapidly around the city of Viña del Mar.

With DREF funding, the Chilean Red Cross provided support to more than 5,000 people affected by the fires over the following months. Staff and volunteer teams provided medical support to communities and distributed cash so that people could buy the things they needed to recover.

2. Uruguay - drought:

Uruguay is currently experiencing widespread drought due to a lack of rainfall since September 2022 and increasingly high temperatures in the summer seasons—prompting the Uruguayan government to declare a state of emergency.

The government officially requested the support of the Uruguayan Red Cross to conduct a needs assessment of the drought, so it could understand how it was impacting people and agricultural industries.

With funding from the DREF, Uruguayan Red Cross teams headed out into the most-affected areas to speak to more than 1,300 families about the drought’s impact on their health, livelihoods and access to water.

Their findings are helping the government to make better-informed decisions on how to address the drought, taking into account the real needs of those affected.

This is the first time DREF funding has been used to support a damage assessment in this way.

3. Paraguay - floods:

In February and March 2023, heavy rains in northern Paraguay caused severe flooding—forcing many families to abandon their homes and paralyzing key infrastructure and industries.

The Paraguayan Red Cross responded, providing first aid and psychosocial support to people in temporary shelters. Volunteers also shared information with communities on how to protect themselves from water-borne diseases and from the increase in mosquitoes.

4. Ecuador - floods, earthquakes, and landslides:

In the first quarter of 2023, Ecuador was struck by several, simultaneous disasters—floods, landslides, building collapses, hailstorms and an earthquake—that put the Ecuadorian Red Cross to the test.

Their volunteers deployed quickly provided wide-ranging support to people affected--including shelter, health care, water, sanitation and cash assistance. They also conducted surveys to understand exactly how people had been affected, and what they most needed to recover.

5. Argentina - floods:

In June, heavy rains caused flash flooding in the municipality of Quilmes, Buenos Aires, affecting an estimated 4,000 families. The flooding caused power outages, road closures and a contamination of water supplies—prompting the local authorities to request the support of the Argentine Red Cross.

Volunteer teams quickly mobilized to provide first aid and psychosocial support to people who had moved to evacuation centres in the area.

In the coming weeks and months, the Argentine Red Cross – with DREF funding – will provide shelter, health, water, sanitation, and hygiene support to 500 of the most vulnerable families affected by the floods.

6. Haiti floods:

Flash floods also struck Haiti in early June following an exceptionally heavy rainstorm that swept the entire country. Though not classified as a cyclone or tropical downpour, the rainstorm nonetheless affected thousands of families, claimed more than 50 lives and submerged entire houses.

The Haitian Red Cross quickly deployed rescue workers to provide first aid and assist with evacuations. Working alongside Movement partners, and with DREF support, they’ve also been distributing mattresses, shovels, rakes, hygiene kits, water treatment kits and plastic sheeting.

In a country already experiencing a cholera epidemic, Haitian Red Cross volunteers continue to share important information with communities about how to stay healthy and adopt good hygiene practices—especially important due to the increased risk from flood waters.

7. Dominican Republic - floods:

This same rainstorm in Haiti also affected communities across the border in the Dominican Republic, causing flash flooding in the country’s west.

The Dominican Red Cross has been providing humanitarian assistance in the form of search and rescue, evacuation, health and hygiene services, psychological first aid, and restoring family links (RFL) services.

Why being under a king is sin?

Nimrod is the first king and leader of humanity the bible in Gen, 10: 8-10 speaks about Nimrod as a mighty man and about his kingdom. Therefore

Through him, kingship, kingdom and religion entered into the earth. Through religion, idol worship came into existence. Tammuz, Nimrod's son was the first idol, ever made on earth. (Eze 8:14) Along with that, idols of kings, queens, man, woman, animals, birds, reptiles, etc. every living and non living thing became the objects of worship.

When God decided to call out a new generation on earth through Abraham, He named them "My People". Hence till day, they were called "The People of God". The Lord expected them to accept Him as their God and King, and never to be yoked under any earthly kings. But when they demanded an earthly king to rule over them, during the time of Samuel, they displeased the Lord.

The Lord was forced to grant their request and asked them to select their king. They selected Saul to be their first king. The Lord sent prophet Samuel to anoint him. Though it was not His will,the Lord did it under pressure.

Saul established his kingdom on earth. David and his successors ruled over it. During the time of Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, the kingdom was split into two. Judah and Samaria. Many kings ruled over both the divisions. But no king in the history of Israel or Judah served the purpose of their appointment. None of them turned his heart hundred percent toward God. Rather the kings became a burden and liability upon the people.

Even before the people decided to choose a king, Samuel had already conveyed the Lord's warnings to them in the following way.

1 Sa 8:11-18 And he said, This will be the privilege of the king who shall reign over you. He shall take your sons and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and his horsemen. And they shall run before his chariots. And he will appoint commanders over thousands, and commanders over fifties, and some to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and make his weapons of war and weapons for his chariots. And he will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. And he will take your fields and your vineyards and your olive-yards, the best, and give them to his servants. And he will take the tenth of your seed and of your vineyards, and give it to his eunuchs and to his servants. And he will take your male slaves and your slave girls, and your finest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work. He will take the tenth of your sheep, and you shall be his servants. And you shall cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, and Jehovah will not answer you in that day.

But the people chose to renounce the sovereign kingship of the Lord over them and decided to have a human king.

1Sa 8:19, 20 But the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel. And they said, No, but we will have a king over us. And we shall be, also we, like all the nations, so that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.

The kingdom of Israel and the Old Testament ended with the kings.

Rain may worsen Delhi flood woes, more showers for Himachal: Top weather updates

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued rainfall alert for multiple states.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued rainfall alerts for various states in the coming five days. These included flood-wrecked Himachal Pradesh and Delhi, many districts of Maharashtra, as well as states like Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Rajasthan, which are set to receive different intensities of rainfall.

Delhi, which is facing a flood-like situation due to rising level of the Yamuna river, received light rainfall today as well, adding to the woes of the people as several key areas remained inundated. Laxmi Nagar, Lutyens' Delhi were some areas which witnessed a drizzle in the afternoon. Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh, extensively damaged due to flash floods and landslides over the past few days, will also continue to receive isolated heavy rainfall during the next five days, IMD said.

Here's the full weather forecast by IMD:

1)The national capital, its adjoining areas and Haryana are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall for the next 5 days, the weather body said. “We are expecting a slight increase in rainfall on July 17 and 18,” Soma Sen Roy, IMD scientist was quoted as saying by ANI.

2)IMD also issued a ‘Yellow’ alert for several districts of Maharashtra starting today. A ‘Yellow’ alert was marked for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigarh, Ratnagiri, Sindhugarg, Dhule for today. Of these, Mumbai, Thane and Palghar will see ‘moderate’ rainfall tomorrow but Thane will be on ‘Yellow’ alert thereafter till July 18. IMD also put Mumbai ‘Yellow’ alert again on 17-18 July, as ‘heavy rainfall’ is expected there while the same for Palghar will be seen only on July 18. Separately, Sindhudurg will continue to be on a ‘Yellow’ alert till July 18; Raigad and Ratnagiri are on ‘Orange’ alert on July 17-18.

3)Other than Himachal, isolated 'heavy' rainfall will occur in Rajasthan over the next five days. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh have been predicted to receive isolated ‘heavy’ to 'very heavy' rainfall during the same period.

4)IMD also said that while west Madhya Pradesh will get isolated heavy rainfall during the next five days, the rainfall activity will increase across eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha and Goa from July 17 onwards.

5)Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim will experience 'fairly widespread, heavy to very heavy' rainfall till July 17.

THE WICKEDNESS IN ASKING FOR A KING

(Revelation received on March 23, 2020 the previous day Covid 19 was announced in India)

1Sa 12:17 ……"see that your wickedness is great, that which you have done in the sight of Jehovah, in asking a king for you".

Asking for a king or being under a king is sin

It is in 1 Sam 8 that the Israelites demand for a king. The following portion will make the context clear to us.

1Sa 8:5-9 They said to him, “Behold, you are old, and your sons don’t walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.” But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” Samuel prayed to Yahweh. Yahweh said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people in all that they tell you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me as the king over them.

According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, in that they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so they also do to you. Now therefore listen to their voice. However you shall protest solemnly to them, and shall show them the way of the king who will reign over them.”

Samuel's Warning Against Kings

1Sa 8:10 Samuel told all Yahweh’s words to the people who asked him for a king.

Delhi sizzles as mercury touches 46 degrees Celsius, heatwave makes life miserable in north India

The mercury breached the 45-degree Celsius mark in parts of Delhi as heatwave conditions and scorching weather continued to prevail in parts of northwest India.

The maximum temperature breached the 45-degree Celsius mark in parts of Delhi on Sunday, with

Najafgarh recording the highest at 46.3 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, as heatwave conditions continued to prevail in parts of northwest India.

The weather office has issued a heatwave warning for Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas for Mondyay, May 22, after several parts of the national capital saw the mercury going beyond 45 degrees Celsius.

According to the Met office, the observatories at Narela and Pitampura recorded 45 degrees Celsius, while Ayanagar and Ridge reported 44 degrees Celsius and Palam recorded 43.8 degrees Celsius. The observatory at Safdarjung recorded a maximum temperature of 42.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, news agency PTI reported.

The weather office, in its bulletin, said Delhi is likely to witness a partly cloudy sky with heatwave conditions at isolated places with strong winds.

After two days of continuous heatwave, rainfall is likely to start over northwest India from May 24, said the IMD.

The weather office has forecast partly cloudy skies and heatwave conditions at isolated places on Monday. It has also predicted strong surface winds reaching speeds of 25-35 kilometres per hour during the day.

We appealed to the heavenly court to destroy the spirit of alcohol and drugs sold in the market on February 6^th 2023.By God’s grace the prayer was answered.

In Gummidipoondi, Thiruvallur district DYFI protested against drug by getting one crore signature.

MANIPUR CHRISTIANS: ‘THE VIOLENCE HAS SHATTERED US’

Lun Tombing was hiding in the bushes with her husband and three- and six-year-old daughters several weeks ago when they saw a mob burn down their home, car, and church.

Tombing and her family had heard reports of mob violence in and around Imphal, the capital city of Manipur, the eastern Indian state where they live, and fled to their church. More than 50 Christians hid in the building, even as a Hindu mob vandalized its outside. When the attackers briefly drove away, the Christians made a run for it.

“With every burning of a vehicle, the mob would clap their hands and shout victory-shouts, as we witnessed all this while trembling behind the bushes constantly afraid of being discovered,” Tombing said.

The group stayed outside for nearly 12 hours, only narrowly avoiding a direct confrontation with the rioters. Despite her mother’s order to maintain absolute silence, Tombing’s eldest daughter repeatedly asked why the mob was destroying their neighborhood.

When the military finally arrived half a day later, they sent the survivors to a local refugee camp. Several days later, the traumatized family, along with hundreds of other Manipur Christians, arrived at the nation’s capital with little more than medicine for the children and some extra clothes.

Since sheltering with a relative in Delhi, both of Tombing’s daughters have struggled to sleep deeply and disruptions as minor as a TV channel changing have startled them awake.

“Even after we reached Delhi, whenever my daughters heard a bang or a sudden noise, they would start to scream, ‘Mummy, they are coming,’” Tombing said.

Between May 3 and May 5, mob violence claimed 75 lives and displaced 35,000 people, according to Manipur’s government. But L. Kamzamang, a Kuki pastor who ministers to northeastern Indian Christians in Delhi, believes that 65,000 people have fled—some internally and others across the border to Myanmar, which borders Manipur—and that more than 100 have been killed.

“There are no fixed numbers,” said Lhingkhonei Kipgen, who fled with her husband and two young daughters and is sheltering in an Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI) relief camp in Delhi. “There are corpses still lying here and there, some that were burned along with their vehicles and are not even identifiable.”

The surge in violence came as tensions between Manipur’s Kuki tribe and the Meitei, the state’s largest minority group, began to climb in earnest in April after the state’s high court greenlit the Meiteis’ request for Scheduled Tribe status. The designation gives communities special constitutionally backed protections including reserved seats in the parliament and state legislatures, affirmative action in education and employment, and property protections.

In fear that this recognition would cost them their own affirmative benefits, the Kuki, the majority of whom are Christians, opposed the proposed change. When they organized local protests on May 3, the violence broke out in several locations.

“[The Meiteis’] main aim was to rid the hills from Kuki presence, and they have been successful at it,” said Thangkholal Haokip, a Manipur social worker who is now living at the refugee camp. “They have instilled fear, uncertainty, and we are now homeless.”

A divided Manipur

While the Kuki protest became the mob’s catalyst for its recent rampage, territorial disputes, competition over resources, deep-seated historical grievances, and religious tensions have kept the tribal community and the Meitei at odds with each other for years.

“India’s northeastern region boasts of a rich tapestry of ethnic groups. But some of these communities have clashed over matters such as land, resources, and political power,” said Vijayesh Lal, EFI’s general secretary. “This is perhaps the first time that the religious angle has been seen in the ongoing violence in Manipur.”

Within Manipur, nearly equal numbers of residents (41% each) practice Hinduism and Christianity. But while the Hindus are largely Meitei, the Kuki and other tribals make up the majority of the Christians.

In recent years, tensions over land have been exacerbated by the political influence of the Hindu nationalist organizations Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which have sought to promote their ideology in northeast India and have used the Meitei community to advance their political agenda in the state, Christian leaders from Manipur say.

The conflict is “two sides of the same coin—religious motivation on one side and political motivation on the other, both intersecting at this point [where it has resulted in large scale violence],” Kamzamang said.

To him and other Kuki leaders, the Hindu Meitei mobs’ religious motivation became evident when their violence also included burning down Meitei churches and attacking Meitei Christians.

Walter Fernandez, who leads the North Eastern Social Research Centre in neighboring state of Assam, believes that the attacks were preplanned.

“The conflict [about land and tribal status] has been there for many years,” Fernandez said. “There was a major blockade in 2010, then major conflict in 2015, again in 2018. For the first time, religious places have been attacked, and this time it is systematic by organized paid gangs who were carrying lists of religious places.”

The point of no return

The majority of those fleeing Manipur have sought refuge in the neighboring state of Mizoram. Only a handful have made the 1,500-mile trip to Delhi. Currently about 70 of the displaced are staying in EFI’s relief center, a group that includes breastfeeding babies, their parents, college students, and the elderly.

Few say they see a future for themselves in Manipur.

Paojamang Haokip was two months away from graduating with an engineering degree.

“The violence has shattered us. We find ourselves somewhere unknown. … We don’t know where we can head to,” he said. “The situation is far from getting normalized. We will not go back.”

Back in Manipur, tensions have not dissipated and violent incidents have continued, even in the lead-up to a visit this week from India’s home minister, Amit Shah.

Last week, the army used tear gas on a mob after it set multiple abandoned homes on fire in a Kuki neighborhood in the capital city of Imphal. The government responded to the incident by instituting a curfew and suspending internet service in the area.

But the latest violence also included Kukis, who were furious at their situation and have taken matters into their own hands.

In the first 24 hours after violence broke out in Churachandpur, Kuki village volunteers did not retaliate, reportedThe Wire. Later, however, when they saw that the police force was not responding to the fires and physical violence, and they took up arms, inflicting causalities on the mobs and the police.

Starting on May 24, in less than a week, three different mobs, including one of mostly women, attacked the homes and, in some cases, possessions, of three BJP ministers based in Manipur.

In the 24 hours leading up to the Shah’s arrival on Tuesday, the Indian army came under heavy fire from armed groups, an attack that killed 10 people.

Following his visit, Shah tweeted that peace and prosperity of Manipur is the government’s “top priority” and that he had instructed the Indian army and the central government and state’s police to “strictly deal with any activities disturbing the peace.”

During his visit, the Times of Indiareported that the army had killed 33 “militants” and arrested 25 others. A state government statement from last week also claimed it had killed at least 40 people whom government officials have referred to as “terrorists.”

However, a Kuki spokesperson refuted this language.

“It’s confusing what the [the government official] means when he says ‘40 terrorists.’ The people killed were all village guard volunteers who were armed with licensed guns. There are no militants here,” he said.

As the number of causalities continues to rise, Fernandez places the death toll around 150. Meanwhile, the weekend’s violence displaced close to 2,500 people, with some victims alleging that security forces themselves had attacked them.

Given the situation, few of those who have fled feel confident returning.

“We have no security or even the assurance of it that we would not be targeted again. We cannot live our lives in fear every single day,” said one Manipuri’s father who asked not to be identified for security reasons. “Even if the Manipur government assures us at a later stage of things getting normalized, the government agencies will still stay mute spectators if we are attacked again. We are on our own.”

THE TONGUE

Jeremiah 9:7-8 (UKJV) Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?

Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaks deceit: one speaks peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he lays his wait.

The Lord reads the heart of human beings. Here is one of the characteristics of God. How he deals with those who have deceitful heart.

Deceitfulness is interpreted here as speaking peaceably to his neighbour but lays in wait to catch him. Their mouth is like an arrow that is shot out. The words they speak will fly like arrows, reach the hearts & lives of the targeted man/woman & make deep injuries and wounds there. The Lord hates such deceitful hearts. If they are among the saved, the Lord takes stringent action against them & purifies them. He melts them and purifies them.

Melting may come in the form of sickness, oppression, slavery, etc.

The Lord will allow them to undergo such purification process so that their whole life (including tongue) will be purified & it will become a weapon, a sharpened arrow to utter prophecies. Now (after purification) the deceitful tongue will become a sharpened arrow.

Isaiah 49:2 (UKJV) And he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand has he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he hid me;

They will start uttering prophecies to destroy the enemy's camps. They will start releasing blessings so that cities will be transformed; They will bring down the "Heavenly Culture" to the areas where they live.

Sicknesses will be removed from the area.

Isaiah 33:24 (UKJV) And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.

Pestilence, drought, famine will never come near the city.

New streets will be laid. Developments will come.

Isaiah 43:19-20 (UKJV) Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall all of you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

Because of the new things the Lord do there, people will migrate to that city & it will become one of the prominent place. in the world.

This is the mighty work of the Lord of transforming the most important organ in our body, the "tongue".

The thirst to start a troop church was given by the almighty God to Sol.Angel (smla of Veeralimalai constituency). There was a small prayer conducted with the troop members on 9th June 2023, Where God spoke with everyone about what the troop church is and with the presence of the Lord the date and day were decided. Esther troop church was led by Sol.Angel on 17th June 2023.The troop is composed of 8 members and it is conducted through google meet on every Saturday at 5:00 am.

TESTIMONIES:

Sol.Angel: By the presence of the Lord the troop church has been started. I thank God for the

wisdom that he gave me to led the troop and to strengthen me throughout the whole processes.
Sol.Gesha: First week message was allotted to me, after entering the meet I saw that my mobile charge was really low and I didn’t have any idea about it. I took the responsibility to join a soldier through my mobile and I was really blank about how would I make the person to join in the troop. I was filled with a lot of confusion whether the mobile charge will retain till I finish the message. Miraculously the mobile charge didn’t drain and even after the troop ended, I was speaking with a soldier nearly for half hour and the charge didn’t drain. I thank the almighty God for this miraculous work and for strengthening me to take the message with the presence of Holy Spirit.

Sol.Iniyan: I had come with a great desire to learn the teachings from the Bible. I had a decision to remain in God's presence for a week. I knew about AOJ - BFF a little bit through Sol.Vinya who has also participated in this BFF batch. This training was highly useful for my Spiritual life. I was Benefited Spiritually, physically and emotionally through this training program. I received God's revelation and insights from the classes. Through this training, I have come much closer to God and felt more burden towards perishing souls. I received abundant God's presence throughout the week. Almost all the teachings touched my innerman and has strengthened me. I wish to do my best in AOJ and I will start troop church in my place. If possible, some musical instruments may be played at the time of worship. Worship training may be included and a separate session on Personal prayer, family prayer, fasting prayer etc may be included.
Sol.Anitha: When I came here my heart was filled with unforgiveness and there was no liberation in the soul. The training was really useful because out in this training I knew about me. Many changes had happened in me through this class. The things which I couldn’t forgive and forget were bothering me a lot, but now I could feel a great relief after forgiving everything.
Sol.John Milton: I had a little knowledge about bible verse. This training was really useful. I learnt about troop church it was a new ideology and also about sin and curse. From this class I had an urge to start a troop church and harvest souls. God has changed many things in me and changed me into a new creation. I knew how important is forgiveness.

National level worship school was conducted on 27th to 29th May, 2023.In the North region nearly 4 schools were conducted. In central region one school, west Region three school and South Region 3 schools were conducted. Number of Participants joined in the National level worship school is 35. From the North Region is 15+, West Region - 30+, South Region -15+ and Central Region- 30+.No of Organisers raised is 10+.No of Teachers raised from the National level is 3, North Region – 6, West Region- 11. Number of Teacher Training program conducted in the North Region is 2.

Testimonies

In almost every single DSW-1 school conducted, students have testified that they thought they

wouldn’t be able to write and compose a song, but in the song writing class they were able to compose songs with the help of Holy Spirit for the first time in their lives. All glory to God alone.
After attending DSW-1 only, students got to know how to truly worship the Lord. Everyone testified that they liked the teachings of AOJ.

FRP Level 1 was conducted on 16th and 17th June 2023 in Pattiveeranpatty, near Batlagundu, Dindigul Constituency. The burden of Sol.John(SMP of Dindigul) & Sol.Mercy Vimala who attended BFF few months back, brought this miracle. Sol.Mercy (wife of Ashok Daniel) used to pray for each village, taluk of Dindigul.CSI church Pattiveeranpatty where AOJ was invited to share the Word of God.The whole set up & rituals reminded me of the Roman Catholic Church.In 2021 the Lord gave us the promise that He will take us into the Institutional Churches & we will be used as catalyst there.

Looking to amplify the voice of Global South, which has borne the brunt of the Ukraine war in the form of rising food and energy prices, UM Narendra Modi on Thursday exhorted developing countries to work towards redesigning global political and Financal governance to remove inequalities enlarge opportunities support growth and spread progress and prosperity. Modi called for creating a new world order to ensure welfare of citizens of the developing countries, as he emphasised the next phase of global growth will come from countries in the South

Addressing the opening session of Voice of Global South summit, for which he was joined by leaders of 10

countries, Modi proposen a four-point global agenda of Respond, Recognice, Respect and Reform to, as he said, re-energise the world. This included responding to Global South priorities by framing an inclusive and balanced international agends, recognising that the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities applies to all global challenges respecting sovereignty of all nations, rule of law and peaceful resolution of differences and disputes and lastly, reforming global institutions, including the UN, to make them more relevant.

The opening session hosted by Modi was followed by three other sosions between the finance environment and foreign ministers. While the two-day summit is not a 020 meeting, the government is hoping to use it as a platform where developing countries who are not a part of the CD mechanism can share their ideas and expectations with the premier global forum for economic cooperation

Leaders of several countries including Bangladesh Thailand, Uzbekistan Vietnam, Cambodia, Quyana, Mozambique, Mongolia and Senegal were among those who attended the summit

Modi said the world is in the middle of a crisis and it's not clear how long the instability triggered by war geopolitical tensions, rising prices and terrorism will last, while adding that people of Global South should no longer be excluded from the fruits of development

"We, the Global South, have the largest stakes in the future Three-fourth of humanity lives in our countries. We should also have equivalent voice. Hence, as the eight-decade old model of global governance slowly changes, we should try to shape the emerging order," he said, while underscoring the need to escape the cycle of dependency on systems and or cumstances which are not of developing world's making.

Most of the global challenges have not been created by the Global South. But they affect us more. We have seen this in the impacts of the Cavid pandemic, climate change terrorism and even the Ukraine conflict. The search for solutions also does not factor in our role or our voice," added the PS4, while recalling india's assistance to the developing world, including by supplying medicines and vaccines to more than 100 countries

Despite the challenges the developing world faces, Modi said, he was optimistic that our time is coming. The need of the hour is to identify simple, scalable and sustainable solutions that can transform our societies and economies. With such an approach, we shall overcome the difficult challenges whether it is poverty, universal healthcare or building human capacities in the last century. we supported each other in our fight against foreign rue. Isaiah 53:12 (UKJV) Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he has poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Many used to come to me & ask , "I don't get souls. How to get members for Troop Church?"

Today while I was praying this verse struck my mind.

"He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors".

In the above verse we see how Jesus Christ became the Redeemer of humanity. Father God in His righteousness, entrusted all human souls into His hands so that any one who calls upon his name will be saved.

He qualified Himself for that because he bore the sins of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Bearing the sin of many & making intercession for the transgressors was the test He went through & He gained the victory.

Yesterday I was conducting the Training, "Forgiveness & Reconciliation" in one of the villages of Dindigul. After the session a few came with doubts regarding forgiving & reconciling with others.

It seems that they (believers in general) are not taught properly about the Bible verse

Matthew 5:44 (UKJV) "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you";

We don't hear much about the teachings of the above verse comparatively than the blessing verses.

Even our intercessory prayers mostly are either for blessings or to get rid of the sufferings .

Jesus Christ made use of the sufferings for gaining souls as well as to learn obedience. ( Heb 5:8)

Hebrews 5:8 (UKJV) "Though he were a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered; "

The Lord allows sufferings in our lives with a great purpose.

It comes

As an opportunity to learn obedience
To test your credibility & sincerity in God's ministry.

3 As a tool for gaining souks etc.

God allows it to His servants at the caculated time, with specific motives. Only those who walk close with God can perceive the timings, purposes for which it is allowed etc.

Those who don't have a close walk with God, will miss the opportunity by not accepting it joyfully & lose the score.

Sufferings have great value. I believe most of the believers miss it due to ignorance. For some it might even become a source for backsliding in spiritual life if they don't get a proper mentor at the right time.

Let us make use of all the sufferings to come closer to God & to gain more & more souls.

Funeral prayer of Sol.Zachariah who expired on 3-6-2023 was conducted by our soldiers on 5/6/2023 Monday morning 8 am at Subramaniyapuram, Trichy. Melting Antarctic ice predicted to cause rapid slowdown of deep ocean current by 2050

New research byAustralian scientists suggests 40% slowdown in just three decades could alter world's climate for centuries.

Melting ice around Antarctica will cause a rapid slowdown of a major global deep ocean current by 2050 that could alter the world's climate for centuries and accelerate sea level rise, according to scientists behind new research.

The research suggests if greenhouse gas emissions continue at today's levels, the current in the deepest parts of the ocean could slow down by 40% in only three decades.

This, the scientists said, could generate a cascade of impacts that could push up sea levels, alter weather patterns and starve marine life of a vital source of nutrients.

A team of Australian scientists looked at the deep ocean current below 4,000 metres that originates in the cold, fresh and dense waters that plunge down off Antarctica's continental shelf and spread to ocean basins around the globe.

Prof Matt England, of the Climate Change Research Centre at the University of New South Wales and a co-author of the research published in Nature, said the whole deep ocean current was heading for collapse on its current trajectory.

"In the past, these circulations have taken more than 1,000 years or so to change, but this is happening over just a few decades. It's way faster than we thought these circulations could slow down.

"We are talking about the possible long- term extinction of an iconic water mass."

The research looked at what would happen in the deep ocean around Antarctica if the fresher water melting from ice sheets was added to climate modelling.

The modelling for the study assumed that global greenhouse gas emissions remained on their current path, but England said lower emissions could lessen the amount of ice melting which in turn - could slow the decline.

The slowdown in the deep ocean current relates to the amount of water that sinks to the bottom and then flows north.

Dr Qian Li, formerly of the University of New South Wales and now at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was the lead author of the research, coordinated by England.

The study did not attempt to explain or quantify the knock-on effects, but the authors wrote the slowdown would "profoundly alter the ocean overturning of heat, fresh water, oxygen, carbon and nutrients, with impacts felt throughout the global ocean for centuries to come".

In a briefing, the authors said the deep ocean current influenced the climate around the world, with the potential to radically shift rainfall.

England said the slowdown of the deep ocean current caused those deep waters to heat up.

But as that deep water becomes isolated, it could then cause the upper ocean around the continent to get hotter, kicking off a feedback loop where more melting causes accelerated slowing of the current, which then causes more heating and more ice sheet melt.

The deep water that warms the fastest in the study, England said, was in the same areas - particularly in west Antarctica - where ice sheets were already vulnerable and melting.

"We don't want to set off a self-reinforcing mechanism in those places," he said, adding that the slowdown effectively stagnates the deep ocean, starving it of oxygen.

When ocean organisms die, they add nutrients to the ocean water that sinks to the bottom and circulates around the world's ocean. Those nutrients get returned in upwells that feed phytoplankton - a foundation for the marine food chain.

Dr Steve Rintoul, an oceanographer and expert on the Southern Ocean at the Australian government's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, said as the deep ocean circulation slows, fewer nutrients would be returned to upper layers of the ocean - affecting the production of phytoplankton. This process would play out over century- long timescales.

He said: "Once that overturning circulation slows down, we can only get it back again by no longer releasing meltwater around Antarctica, which means we need a cooler climate and then have to wait for it to restart.

"The longer we go on with higher rates of greenhouse gas emissions, the more changes we commit ourselves to."

In a briefing, the scientists said the modelling was in line with recent observations of changes to the deep ocean circulation that was suggesting a slowdown

may already be taking place.

Rintoul added: "Going back 20 years, we thought the deep ocean wasn't changing that much. It was too far away to be responsive. But the observations and the models have shown that's not the case."

Scientists also think another major ocean circulation in shallower waters that spans the entire Atlantic Ocean - known as the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation - is also slowing down.

Prof Stefan Rahmstorf, an oceanographer and head of earth system analysis at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, said the new study - with which he was not involved - showed "a dramatic further weakening is likely around Antarctica in the coming decades".

He said models presented in major UN climate reports had a "longstanding and major shortcoming" because they didn't capture how meltwater influenced the deep ocean.

The ocean depths were refreshed in only a few places on the planet close to major ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica.

"Unfortunately, these locations are all close to the ice sheets of Greenland and Antarctica, which are melting away as a result of fossil-fuel-caused global warming.

"The meltwater dilutes the salt content of these ocean regions, thereby making the ocean waters less dense and thus not heavy enough to sink down and push away the waters already there."

A slowdown in the deep ocean current could also affect the amount of CO2 that the deep oceans could lock away, Rahmstorf said.

Jer 14:21 Do not abhor us, for your name’s sake. Do not disgrace the throne of your glory. Remember, and don’t break your covenant with us.

Here we see how prophet Jeremiah pleaded for the land and his people in the heavenly court. This will serve as a model for us.

In Jeremiah chapter 14 we see a beautiful dialogue taking place between God and prophet Jeremiah.

The land of Judah was struck by a severe drought. Jeremiah as a prophet appeared in the court of heaven to bring this issue to the notice of the Lord. The Lord gave a reply.

Jer 14:1 This is Yahweh’s word that came to Jeremiah concerning the drought. Instead of Jeremiah bringing a survey report to the Lord, The Lord Himself gives a clear chart and graph about what He has sent on the land.

Below is a clear picture of the areas which are affected by the drought and its magnitude.

Ordinary people: Jer 14:2 “Judah mourns, and its gates languish. They sit in black on the ground. The cry of Jerusalem goes up.
Nobles: Jer 14:3 Their nobles send their little ones to the waters. They come to the cisterns, and find no water. They return with their vessels empty. They are disappointed and confounded, and cover their heads.
Farmers: Jer 14:4 Because of the ground which is cracked, because no rain has been in the land, the plowmen are disappointed. They cover their heads.
Vegetation: Jer 14:5 Yes, the doe in the field also calves and forsakes her young, because there is no grass.
Wild animals: Jer 14:6 The wild donkeys stand on the bare heights. They pant for air like jackals. Their eyes fail, because there is no vegetation.

Yahweh brings three accusations filed against the people of Judah in the Heavenly Court by satan. As a result, the trial takes place in the court. Let’s see the resolutions arrived at by Yahweh.

They loved to wander away from God.

Jer 14:10 Yahweh says to this people, “Even so they have loved to wander. They have not restrained their feet. Therefore Yahweh does not accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity, and punish them for their sins.”

No more appeal to be made for the people.

Jer 14:11 Yahweh said to me, “Don’t pray for this people for their good.

No recommendation by Jeremiah will be accepted.

Jer 14:12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and meal offering, I will not accept them; but I will consume them by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.”

Now Jeremiah asked for certain clarifications from the court.

Jer 14:13 Then I said, “Ah, Lord Yahweh! Behold, the prophets tell them, ‘You will not see the sword, neither will you have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.’”

The Lord answered.

Jer 14:14 -17 Then Yahweh said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in my name. I didn’t send them. I didn’t command them. I didn’t speak to them. They prophesy to you a lying vision, divination, and a thing of nothing, and the deceit of their own heart.

Jer 14:15 Therefore Yahweh says concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name, but I didn’t send them, yet they say, ‘Sword and famine will not be in this land.’ Those prophets will be consumed by sword and famine.

Jer 14:16 The people to whom they prophesy will be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword. They will have no one to bury them—them, their wives, their sons, or their daughters, for I will pour their wickedness on them.

Jer 14:17 “You shall say this word to them: “‘Let my eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease; for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous wound.

Jeremiah using his authority of a spokesman for God, still, is persuading the Lord. He acknowledged the sins of the people of the land. He is pleading with God not to break the covenant made with them. He admits there is no other God who can give rain. He concludes telling that we will wait for you.

Jer 14:21 Do not abhor us, for your name’s sake. Do not disgrace the throne of your glory. Remember, and don’t break your covenant with us.

Jer 14:22 Are there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? Or can the sky give showers? Aren’t you he, Yahweh our God? Therefore we will wait for you; for you have made all these things.

In the process of establishing God’s kingdom in the Nation India, the Lord is raising an Army to fight for His kingdom against satan and his kingdom. Congratulations on dedicating yourself to register your name to be the frontline warrior of The Army of Jesus. As you know,

I would like to remind you of your first and foremost duties of being a soldier in The Army of Jesus Christ. .

Duties of Individual Soldiers:

Daily prayer for 2.30 hours( Time for securing protection as well as for receiving commands from the Lord)
Attending or Conducting weekly Troop Church
Proclaim the Gospel daily to at least two persons directly or through mail, phone etc. (Introducing Jesus to two new persons or motivating 2 believers/Christians with the manna verse for the day.
Start a new troop in 2 months.

All the 10 soldiers have a role to play, each one to perform one of the following in turn:

Pledge (2 Corinthians 10:3-5) - 2 min.

Prayer for Troop members & other intentions - 20 min.
Sharing testimonies of last week- 20 min
Planning for the next week etc.- 5 min
Concluding prayer and (Ps 144:1) - 2 min
Preparing Report & sending - 5 min

During the time of sharing, the Troop Leader should make each one share invariably and instruct them about the duties of individual soldiers mainly their personal prayer (2.30 hours).

African penguins are being ‘trapped’ by climate change

Climate change and overfishing off Africa’s southern tip have set a “trap” for endangered African penguins leaving their nests.

The young penguins swim thousands of miles from where they hatched, following biological signposts advertising a buffet of anchovies and sardines. What they don’t realize is the buffet seems to have closed.

When the birds arrive, their favorite food is almost gone, replaced by less nutritious gobies and jellyfish. This is what scientists call an “ecological trap,” in which animals mistakenly settle in habitats degraded by environmental changes.

A new study in Current Biology describes a recently discovered trap off the coast of South Africa and Namibia that has likely reduced local penguin populations by 50% and hurt juvenile birds’ chances of survival.

The research team, led by ecologist Richard Sherley of the University of Exeter, attached satellite trackers to 54 young penguins from colonies across the species’ breeding range in Namibia and South Africa. When the birds are old enough, they tend to disperse westward and northward.

The penguins follow the sure signs of edible fish: low ocean temperatures and the scent of plankton.

“These were once reliable cues for prey-rich waters, but climate change and industrial fishing have depleted forage fish stocks in this system,” the study authors wrote.

In Namibia, penguins are instead finding more gobies and jellyfish. Though these substitutes are edible, they don’t provide as many calories.

In recent decades, warming ocean temperatures and changes in salinity have also pushed traditional prey east, out of range for penguins living west of Cape Agulhas, Africa’s southernmost tip. This has triggered an 80% decline in the western penguin population.

Losing the fish has essentially broken a link in the middle of the food chain. This causes a “mismatch” in the ecosystem, in which penguins get faked out when they find lots of plankton but no fish.

Young penguins must learn to forage for themselves, and it may take them years to fully get the hang of finding their food. During this vulnerable period, they’re at risk of choosing the wrong habitat or falling into an ecological trap.

This is exactly what seems to be happening. Between 1978 and 2015, Namibia’s penguin population declined from more than 12,000 breeding pairs to about 5,800. In South Africa, the population shrank from 70,000 to 19,300 in the same time period, according to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.

To ease the burden on the birds, Sherley and colleagues suggest limiting fishing in penguin areas when fish populations fall below critical thresholds.

2 Co 5:10 For all of us must appear before the judgment seat of the Messiah, so that each of us may receive what he deserves for what he has done in his body, whether good or worthless.

All of us are sent to this earth with a mission, a military operation. The ultimate end of the operation is bringing God’s Kingdom from heaven to the earth. It started 2022 years ago. You and me are born on this earth at this particular period to champion this cause in this particular generation. Within our lifetime we should accomplish our mission, finish the operation and go back to our heavenly abode to receive the reward.

Ps 62:12 Also to you, Lord, belongs gracious love, because you reward each person according to what he does.

Mat 16:27 The Son of Man is going to come with his angels in his Father's glory, and then he will repay everyone according to what he has done.

Hence every minute, every second of our life on earth is digitally planned. The countdown starts from the day you are borne on this earth. The place where you should be born, your siblings, your career, your trainings at home, school, College, workplace, etc. were well planned even before the foundations of the world but revealed only after you were born.

All these people whom you come across on this earth during your life time are all purposely given for assisting you in your operation. All the amenities (house, family, children, fellowship, teachings, helpers, co-workers, enemies, friends, resources etc. ) provided for you on earth is for the successful completion of this operation. You are also given a full chart of the complete operation in your book of destiny.

1Co 4:5 Therefore, stop judging prematurely, before the Lord comes, for he will bring to light what is now hidden in darkness and reveal the motives of our hearts. Then each person will receive his praise from God.

How many of us can say that we have perfectly completed this operation till now? Only Jesus achieved it perfectly every day and at the end He could say “It’s finished” at the age of 33.

We were all either ignorant or late in knowing and accepting the plan of God.

But we can make up for our days, times, opportunities, which we have lost. In this process of rectifying and compensating what we have lost, the comforter, the heavenly guide, the Holy Spirit is always there to help us. But we have to put in double effort if we are to complete our further race at the same time compensate for our past.

Let us meditate on the spiritual trade every day we are indulging in.

Those who are engaged in this military operation, (Mat 28:19,20) need not fear death, hell or the eternal judgment. We are given innumerable promises regarding this.

Joh 3:36 The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who disobeys the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him.

As we do trading (exchange currency for every service you get) every minute in our physical life we do spiritual trading also knowingly or unknowingly every day, every minute.

Our spiritual life is a trade done in the spiritual world on a regular basis.

Either we earn income or incur losses in everything we do.

Until we understand this basic theory of spiritual trading, we will be losing our inheritances to the enemy on a daily basis, because he takes maximum advantage of our ignorance.

Before going to bed, we have to settle our daily account of spiritual trading and close the balance sheet.

Sr.Leema Rose:The Lord inspired me to select issues published in the media for intercessory prayer.

1.On 31 st May 2023 I prayed for drug trafficking to be controlled in India. It came in the News paper Daily Dinathanthi of 1 st June 2023 that some five youth selling drugs online were arrested.

The same way I prayed that North Korea's satellite launched should become inactive.

I saw in the Newspaper Times of India of 1st June ,2023 that the satellite named Chollima- 1 fell down in the ocean 200kms off the west coast island of Eocheongdo.

We are the first born registered in heaven .We are the bride of the lamb. We have a powerful voice in the heavenly court.We are given the authority and recognition in the heavenly court. When the bride pleads with the Lord the petition is granted. Let us make it our daily routine to take issues political, social judicial and financial etc. to heavenly court and get favourable verdicts from the Lord.

This is the testimony of one sister who attend Blessed troop church last week , for the first time.She has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder since 10 years and had all sorts of medical complications due to that.After attending troop church last week and being prayed for by troopers, she started experiencing the Lord's presence in her life like never before...she started hearing God speak to her continuously and for the past 3 days, her health has started improving! Filipinos see climate change, unemployment, military tensions as top challenges in Southeast Asia — study

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 16) — Beyond the COVID-19 threat, Filipinos saw climate change, unemployment and economic recession, and increased military tensions as the top three challenges faced by Southeast Asia in 2023, the latest State of Southeast Asia survey found.

According to the study published on Feb. 9, respondents from the Philippines ranked climate change and more intense and frequent weather events as the highest threat across the region.

The ASEAN Studies Centre at ISEAS Yusof Ishak Institute noted that "76.8% of Philippine respondents say that climate change is their biggest threat, overtaking unemployment and recession, as the pain of destruction is felt most acutely from Typhoon Nalgae (Paeng) at the end of October 2022."

More than half also picked joblessness (60.6%) and increased military tensions arising from potential flashpoints such as the South China Sea, Taiwan Strait, and the Korean Peninsula (50.5%).

Compared to last year, Filipinos ranked the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and armed hostilities as the top three challenges in Southeast Asia, having one of the highest numbers in these concerns across the region.

Meanwhile, the majority of Southeast Asians (59.5%) fear unemployment and economic recession this year as the region tries to bounce back from the impact of the COVID-19 crisis, followed by the worsening climate (57.1%).

Widening socio-economic gaps and rising income disparity, and increased military tensions shared the third spot (41.9%).

For the survey's fifth edition, the ASEAN Studies Centre polled 1,308 Southeast Asian nationals affiliated with the academe, private sector, government, civil society, and regional or international groups from Nov. 14, 2022 to Jan. 6, 2023. Filipinos comprised 7.6% of the total number.

It also reported the rising frustration directed at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which was described as being "slow and ineffective" resulting in its inability to "cope with fluid political and economic developments and becoming irrelevant in the new world order."

The survey found it remained the top concern of most Southeast Asians (82.6% up from last year's 70.1%), followed by the view that "ASEAN is becoming an arena of major power competition and its member states may become major power proxies."

Likewise, more respondents saw that the 10-member ASEAN is becoming "increasingly disunited" and being "elitist and disconnected from the ordinary people," ranking third and fourth, respectively.

Fewer respondents think that ASEAN would be unable to recover from the pandemic, with only around 37% selecting it as one of their top three concerns out of the five choices, lower than last year's 49%.

Aside from Southeast Asians' top concerns, the survey explored the perception of respondents on major powers that influence the region.
