God answered prayer for the land
Today in my prayer, the Lord showed this verse.
"They buried the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son in the country of Benjamin in Zela, in the tomb of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. After that, God answered prayer for the land".2 Samuel 21:14
This verse of the Bible was not of much importance to me so far. But today it spoke to me a lot.
There might be certain unaccomplished duties in your life. Till you accomplish them, the blessings which are due to you, cannot enter into your life. Whether it is earthly blessings or spiritual blessings, the same law binds.
God is the Supreme judge of all. He makes the sun rise and the rain pour on all the good and the evil. Denying others their rights, or snatching away their dues are wrong.
If we deny justice to anyone, it will be credited in our account. Until we pay back, we are in debt.
2 Sa 21:1,2 "There was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; …Saul sought to kill them in his zeal for the children of Israel and Judah).
Even though the Gibeonites were gentiles who deceived Joshua and the Israelites, (Jos 9:3-21) Joshua had made a covenant with them in the name of the Lord (Jos 9:19) and promised to spare their lives.
Saul violated it. This became a curse not only on the king, but upon the whole kingdom of Israel. Even after the death of Saul, the curse passed on to the next king and kingdom. Until David sought to find the reason and did rectification, the Israelites suffered a famine every year in their land.
Unidentified, unconfessed, unrectified sins become "curses".
They can be found in a person, in a family, in a village, in a country as a whole. They have to be identified and broken in the name of Jesus.

There are many curses in our land which have to be identified and broken in the name of Jesus. Those who come forward to do this can enjoy the blessings of this land in abundance.
Is 1:19 "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land".

How to Gain Control of Your Kids’ Smartphone: Without Losing Your Kids’ Hearts
The biggest pain point for many parents is—you guessed it—smartphones. Should our kids own them? If so, how do we keep them from owning our kids?
A typical family with mom and dad and 2 kids will spend, between monthly contracts, hardware, and apps, around three to four thousand dollars a year on smartphones. And what do they get for this significant financial investment?
According to David Eaton of Axis, most parents report feeling utterly defeated by them. They are causes of frustration and worry, and they get in the way of conversation and eye contact. And they are the cause of a yelling match, whenever a parent tries to bring them under control.
Do we own our smartphones? Or do they own us?
It doesn’t take a PhD in social science to realize that smartphones are one of the primary pain points for modern families. Of course, they’re not all bad. Smartphones enable us to keep tabs on our kids. Smartphones allow our kids to contact us in case of an emergency. They provide navigation help, safe banking options, etc, etc etc. Not to mention, these amazing devices allow grandparents and other long-distance family members to keep in touch, real time, and be more of a part of our kids’ lives.
On the other hand, smartphones put our kids at risk. Because of smartphones, sexting is now for many a normal part of high school. As Eaton told me recently, girls at a Christian school where Axis was presenting expressed that they wished the boys there would ask them for nude pics. In other words, in the smartphone era, this is how the girls know they’re wanted.
We all know the list of risks smartphones bring to our kids: sexual predators, online porn, cyber-bullying – not to mention, as if I need to state the obvious, addiction. Smartphones provide a perpetual distraction, and get in the way of face time – no, not the iPhone app – real face to face time, something every kid needs with their parents. And if most of us parents are honest, we’re just as addicted as our kids.
Even if our kids don’t have smartphones, their friends do. We might have our own homes locked down pretty tightly, but not everyone does. So many of the risks are still there.
My guess is that I haven’t shared anything new. One of the most frustrating things about dealing with these ever-present glowing rectangles is that we know the impact they have on our kids. We don’t like it. But we also know that if we bring it up, it can lead to a fight.
Is it possible to “reboot” your family when it comes to smartphones and the role they play in our lives? Is it possible to plan ahead, so if our kids are young, we enter the smartphone season with a plan? And most of all, can we do it without going crazy, without the stress, without the fight, without the deception… without losing our kids’ hearts?
The answer is yes, but before I tell you how I know that, we need to agree: It’s not an option to send our kids into this smartphone saturated world without our help. To do that is foolish. And it’s not an option to think we can keep our kids away from smartphones forever. They could always borrow one from a friend.
The solution is to use the challenge of smartphones to facilitate the mentoring kids need. The team at Axis has identified 100 different conversations that parents can have with their children about smartphones
Nurse Who Was Fired for Telling Patients about Jesus Has Name Cleared
A British nurse who was fired for telling patients about her Christian faith was cleared last week following a two-year investigation.
Sarah Kuteh – who has 15 years of experience -- worked at Darent Valley Hospital. As part of her job, she was required to ask patients about their faith during a pre-operation assessment questionnaire. This naturally led to conversations with some patients about her Christian faith, according to Christian Concern, a United Kingdom organization.
“I would … reassure them, based on the joy and peace that I really have found in Jesus,” she said.
But a few patients complained, leading to her dismissal in June 2016. Even worse, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) placed restrictions on her future employment. She found another job, but due to the restrictions she was required to have a senior nurse oversee her.
“All I had done was to nurse and care for patients,” she said. “How could it ever be harmful to tell someone about Jesus?”
But last week, the NMC dropped the restrictions, clearing her name. The NMC ruled, “It is in the public interest to return an otherwise experienced and competent nurse into practice.”
She was represented by the Christian Legal Centre.
“But for the question on the pre-op assessment questionnaire, these conversations would not have taken place,” Andrea Williams, chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre, said in a statement. “Without proper investigation, she was fired and her long career as a nurse put under threat. Those who know Sarah recognise what a caring, hard-working nurse she is, and the professionalism she brings to her job. Although it’s disappointing that she was ever penalised for her actions – which were wholly motivated by compassion – we rejoice that Sarah is once again free to bring her skill and expertise to her role as a nurse.”

Peace restored in heart: One of the troop members said, for the past two weeks peace is restored in the heart. Previously I used to worry about my work, family and everything. Now during prayer and even while sleeping, God’s words are lingering in my mind.
Healed of pain and swelling: one patient came to our hospital with unbearable pain and swelling in the joints. She kept crying. She couldn’t move her hands and fingers properly out of pain. When the Gospel was shared and prayers were offered to her she refused. But anyway, the troop member was reminded to pray for her in the night. The next day when the patient came to collect her reports told that she was completely relieved of pain after talking to the troop member, the previous day itself. It is unexplainable how Jesus loves people.
Found Peace: One of our troop members who used to pray to Mary and Antony before, after seeking Jesus she is now able to feel the peace at home and among children. She is feeling happy reading The Bible.

Forgiveness and Reconciliation Program – Testimonies @ Udumalpet
FRP in Udumalpet was held on Jan 25, 26. More than 70 participants attended. The hand of the Lord was there. Pastors and their families attended. Forgiveness message touched everyone powerfully. After the message was over immediately they called over the phone and got reconciled with others.
Many understood about the strong holds within them and their strong holds were broken in Jesus name. A sister received healing from the leg pain. Many understood about troop church. Believers are surprised that the Lord will even use them. There is a big revival in the hearts of youth. All Glory to Jesus alone.
There was an opportunity to share the gospel with the children who attended FRP and the Lord opened their eyes. Many saw Jesus in the visions. The Lord also revealed many glorious revivals in Udumalpet and India through these children.

Rise Up and Build South Zone 2019
The Army of Jesus family gathered together for a two-day meeting at Charles Elderly Community, Chennai to equip themselves and equip others for the fulfillment of the vision 2020. Participants from four states and one union territory attended the program. They were Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka Tamil Nadu, Telengana and Pondicherry (UT) respectively. Sr. Angelica shared the Message for 2019 and the Lord’s plan for inheriting the land by families. She took the participants across the time frame, on how each year has turned out to be on the way to the fulfillment of the vision 2020 prophecy. She reminded the participants that the steps mentioned as a part of Message 2019 was crucial in completing the vision.
This was followed by a series of group and individual acts of forgiveness, binding the words of the devil and sanctification. The country, the state, the family and the individual became the focus of rebuilding the nation through acts of binding, prophesying and worship. The participants together declared their God-given authority by making declarations towards the health of the land, rivers, the condition of children and God’s plan for the nation as revealed in the word of God. The participants were asked to identify demonic doorways in their regions and bind and destroy their works. Participants actively took part in planning future Rise and Build meetings. The various sessions of the program were led by different teachers. The event ended with the worship at NWC and followed by tea and sharing.
The Lord responded to the call of his children by revealing visions during worship. Sol. Anthony and Sol. Dinesh steered the event successfully with the advice of the Sisters, along with an able team of volunteers. Dr. Benedict and the team at CEC provided ample support for the event, with other members pitching in hospitality, transport and food. God in his abundant mercy and goodness provided strength, wisdom and protection to all involved during the program.

Does The Great Commission Exclude Teaching On Prophecy?
The prevailing mindset of many Bible-believing pastors today is that eschatology, or the study of future things, is not only separate from the preaching of Gospel but detracts from it. They maintain that our task of fulfilling the Great Commission excludes teaching on prophecy, which they believe only confuses believers and stirs up unwelcome controversy. Is this way of thinking biblical? No, it is not. This represents a myopic way of viewing both the commands and teachings of Jesus, who highlighted "eternal life" as the result of belief in Him and commanded His followers to watch for His return.
Let's explore these things in more detail.
JESUS EMPHASIZED ETERNAL LIFE
Jesus emphasized eternity throughout His earthly ministry. The Gospel of John records at least a dozen instances where Jesus promised "eternal life" to those who believe in Him. We are all familiar with John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." The foundation of the Gospel is the promise of eternal life versus the fate of everlasting punishment in hell.
Jesus did not die on the cross just so we would have a terrific Christian life in this uncertain world filled with sorrow and heartache; He sacrificed His life so we could receive eternal life with physical and imperishable bodies, reign with Him in a spectacular kingdom, and spend a glorious eternity with Him.
Many Bible-based preachers love to criticize Joel Osteen for his book, Your Best Life Now, but then reflect that precise idea with teaching that emphasizes Christian living in this life with only fleeting references to eternity. Does this not such preaching leave those listening with the singular hope of being a joyous and "good Christian" in the here and now? Where is the hope in that amidst a fallen world?
It's the specifics of our hope of heaven that encourage us each morning as we step out of bed to face a daunting and evil world. The "now-based" preaching that fails to do more than briefly mention the glories ahead for us in eternity does little, if anything, to console us in the midst of tragedy. It's the details of the Lord's return and our joyous eternity in heaven that comfort us in the midst of sorrow and provide bright hope for tomorrow.
JESUS INSTRUCTED US TO WATCH FOR HIS RETURN
Those who believe that teaching about future things detracts from the Great Commission ignore the other commands of Jesus, especially in the one in Matthew 24:44 where He said, "Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." Jesus again stressed the need for watchfulness in 25:13, "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour." The Lord commanded us to both be ready and watch for His return. What does such watching imply? Jesus provides the answer to that in Matthew 16:1-4 where He chides the Pharisees for not recognizing the signs that He, the Messiah, was already with them. He blamed them for not knowing the Old Testament signs of His first coming. Does He not also expect that we also know and recognize the signs of His coming? I believe He does.
In Matthew 24, Jesus gave us many signs of the end of this age so we could recognize the nearness of His coming and not miss the signs as did the Pharisees. In Luke 21:28 He added this, "Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." Jesus expects us as His followers to be watching for these signs so we will recognize the season of His return and look up with eager anticipation. This is now!
Those who compare the signs given to us in Scripture with current events are not performing an unnecessary task that diverts attention from fulfilling the Great Commission. They are obeying Jesus' command to watch for His coming.
JESUS TAUGHT ABOUT PROPHECY AFTER HIS RESURRECTION
Jesus stressed at least two things after His resurrection. First, He emphasized how He fulfilled prophecy (Luke 24:26-27, 44-47) and in doing so instructed His followers "about the kingdom of God" (Acts 1:3). Second, He told His followers to proclaim the Gospel (Acts 1:8). What was the response of His disciples to His teaching during this time? They asked Him this question just before He ascended back to heaven; "Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel" (Acts 1:6)? Why would they ask this question if Jesus had not talked about this matter during the forty days when He emphasized "the kingdom of God?"
Jesus' teaching caused the thoughts of His disciples to race ahead to the time when they would rule with Christ in His kingdom. They expected Jesus to immediately fulfill the promise He made to them earlier, "Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel" (Matt. 19:28). Their timing was off, but not their ultimate hope. There is one instruction in the Great Commission that I rarely hear mentioned in sermons on the Great Commission. The majority of messages on it overlook a key instruction embedded in it, ". . . teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you" (Matt. 28:20). Would this not also include the command of Jesus to watch for His return? I think so.
As we will see in the ministry of the Apostle Paul, he taught his new converts all about Jesus' imminent return as well as the future day of the Lord. While C.S. Lewis might not agree with me on everything regarding my views on eschatology, he would agree with my connecting the dots between Jesus' command for us to watch and our urgency to proclaim the Gospel. Notice what he said on this topic:
If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were just those who thought most of the next. The apostles themselves, who set on foot the conversion of the Roman Empire, the great men who built up the Middle Ages, the English Evangelicals who abolished the Slave Trade, all left their mark on Earth, precisely because their minds were occupied with Heaven. It is since because Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this.
You see, we do not detract from the Great Commission through our emphasis on Jesus' soon appearing and the signs of the times. Quite the contrary! Such an emphasis intensifies both the importance and urgency to reach the lost. And, many are turning to Christ today precisely because they see how God fulfilled prophecy with the first coming of Jesus and recognize that He is doing it again with His Second Coming!
